What is TEDx?
In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TED has created a program called TEDx—so local, self-organized events can bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxWidenerUniversity, where x = independently organized TED event. At our event, video and live speakers will spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
About TEDxWidenerUniversity
TEDxWidenerUniversity is a nonprofit organization licensed by TED, hosted by Widener University, and managed by Widener student, faculty, and staff volunteers. Understanding that one’s power to affect change in the world is limited to one’s sphere of influence, we want to use the TEDx platform to share ideas worth spreading and spark conversations and deep discussions that will improve our community and our world.
